Being asked to
attend an interview is confirmation that the Client has shown an interest
in the skills and experience that you have to offer and is hoping
that you are going to be the perfect candidate for the job !
Research
Find
out about the Company Get
a full job description How
big is the company? How
long have they been established? Look
at their website What
industry are they in? Who
are it's competitors?
Planning
Write
down all details including time, date, location of the interview
Research
public transport timetables or parking facilities so you can
make a time plan, ensuring you arrive at least 10 minutes early
Do
a trial run to the location if this helps
Find
out who will be interviewing you
Dress Code
First
impressions - must be the right impression
Dress
professionally, and do everything in moderation including make-up,
perfume, and jewellery !
Most
importantly be comfortable with the way you dress, this will
give you one less thing to worry about

Highlight

yourself - highlight your skills, personality and everything
you have to offer the company

thank your interviewer for the time they have spared to see
you. Indicate your interest in the post and that you look forward
to hearing from them
After
the interview
It
is essential to contact your Consultant and advise them as to
whether you are interested in the post, or whether a job offer
has been made.
Your
consultant will contact the company and relay your comments
and of course keep you well informed as to the progression of
the recruitment process. They will also undertake any salary
or package negotiations on your behalf utilising their expertise
in the current market
Security
Do
not give the company any personal details, if they wish to contact
you, they will contact you via our office
Never
accept changes to the given time, date or location of the interview
unless given to you by your Consultant
If
the interview is to be held anywhere other than the Company's
premises, ensure it is always in a public place, and arranged
by your consultant
You
will have planned your travel to and from the interview, keep
to this and do not accept a lift from the company
Always
ensure various people are aware of where and when your interview
is to be held
