Classified Sales Executive

Our Client base in Essex are currently looking to recruit a Classified Sales Executive to join their team, to be responsible for the classified section on a successful and well established monthly title, dealing with high-end design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Canvassing new business and managing many existing accounts, including some very established and high yielding accounts
  • To ensure sales targets and a high telephone conversation volume are achieved every issue
  • Plan and maintain the monthly flat-plan
  • To represent the magazine at all relevant exhibitions and events, in a smart, mature and productive manor, in both working and non-working hours where relevant
  • To ensure accurate and responsible admin for all bookings in the classified section
  • To support other team members as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have a sound base of telesales or sales experience, ideally within publishing or related area, but not essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate tenacity, professionalism and loads of enthusiasm for a career in publishing and you will need to have the confidence to speak with business people on a daily basis in both the UK and the international design market. An interest in design and architecture would be beneficial.

Interim Senior Business Development Executive - Financial Markets

Our Client, a City law firm, are looking to recruit an Interim Senior Business Development Executive to work with the Financial Markets IPG team to deliver incisive and value-added marketing and business development support ensuring key objectives in the business / BD plans are achieved.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

-Product strategy and management-

  • To support the development of new product offerings, working with partners and BD managers to define the benefits of the new products and the most effective routes to market.
  • To support the ongoing activities of product-specific groups, covering BD and marketing planning and the execution of specific initiatives.
  • To contribute to the IPG BD planning process, as required, and then to work with the relevant fee earners and BD team to implement the plan.
  • To assist in the development of the IPG business development budget and then to take responsibility for monitoring expenditure and ensuring efficient financial control.

-Business Development-

  • To play a proactive role in developing and supporting business development initiatives that cover more than one jurisdiction and/or more than one practice area, ensuring effective coordination with sector/office representatives wherever necessary.
  • To contribute to the identification of other opportunities for business development across the relevant product range.

-Product stream profile raising, communications and CRM-

  • To take a pro-active role in the IPG's involvement with trade bodies and journalists.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years marketing or BD experience, with 6 months experience in a professional services firm or relevant sector. A minimum upper second class honors degree or equivalent with ideally a professional marketing qualification (CIM diploma or equivalent). You will be capable of managing and implementing marketing and BD tasks with the ability to fluently articulate the difference between marketing and BD with a minimum of two years experience working in one of the two areas.

You will possess a strong understanding of professional services businesses whilst able to competently run a pitch, including carrying out pitch debriefs with clients as appropriate. You will have a good knowledge of key clients in the Financial Markets IPG, including an understanding of their legal requirements and their business, be capable of writing a marketing plan and able to set valuable business focused agendas and confidently run marketing meetings for the Financial Markets IPG.
